Judas Priest, the original metal gods! This by far is one of my favorite tracks by them. This song has a lot of components that made a lot of metal bands who they are to this very day. If you check out the melodies and the breakdowns in this song they all scream a connection to the big four of the trash metal giants for sure.
The dark melodies give the feel of being in that ominous alleyway back in Whitechapel, London England. This is where Jack the Ripper committed his most heinous, crimes which made him an unidentified serial killer from September to October 1888.
You can hear the influence inspired by the Metal Gods in the guitar teams such as Kerry King and Jeff Hannemann of Slayer. In addition let’s not forget the guitar duos in Exodus, Kreator, Megadeth, and Testament. The list goes on and on. All hail Judas Priest the reigning Metal Gods. Who are still going strong to this day, 50+ years of pure heavy metal!
