Steel meets shadow in my latest cover — “The Ripper” by Judas Priest — an unholy anthem sharpened by twin blades of vintage metal and darkness.

This isn’t just a tribute. It’s a resurrection.

I’ve always felt this song prowling under my skin… the sinister swagger, the cold precision, the way Tipton and Downing’s riffs slice like a blade through fog. So I summoned the dark energy through Guitar Pointers, armed my Jackson flying V axe, and let it rip — literally.

“You’re in for surprise… You’re in for a shock…”

This cover stays true to the haunting tone of the original, but filters it through my own realm — gritty, brooding, with just a touch of reaper madness. No polish. No gloss. Just pure, raw steel and the sound of vengeance.

⚡What to Expect in the Judas Priest Cover:

  • Heavy vintage tone channeling early Priest

  • Metal dual guitar attack ⚔️

  • A visual aesthetic straight from the crypt

  • Guitar Pointers’ signature haunting presence — no gimmicks, just darkness and groove

If “The Ripper” ever haunted a foggy alley in today’s age… this is how it would sound.

About the author

Guitar and hard rock became my life's obsession without a doubt trying to emulate my idols. Jimi Hendrix, Tony Iommi, Jimmy Page, Adrian Smith, James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Diamond Darrell, Michael Amott and Jeff Hannemann just to name a few.

I've spent countless hours teaching myself and crafting the technique, the skills and the tone. Now just trying to share the knowledge.
